cub01.jpg When Jim Burns passed away, he had a whole house full of R/C plane stuff. So I got two of his planes. He really did a top-notch job of putting this Carl Goldburg kit together. |
cub02.jpg These first pictures have the cowling on, but I forgot to hook up the wing struts. The plane doesn't actually need them to support the wing, but they make the plane look more `scale'. (On the other hand, they'd need to be removed completely before flight -- they can't just flop around like they are now.) |
cub03.jpg I don't remember the exact figure, but the wingspan of the plane is approximately 79 inches. It's a good sized plane, but flies well on a small engine. |

cub06.jpg Here's a picture taken after actually flying the plane. Note that the struts are connected, but the cowl has been removed, exposing the OS FS 48 4 stroke engine. It also has a compsosite prop on it, rather than the wooden prop that Jim even pained to make it look like the original prop. |
